Poetry has been a passion of mine since my early twenties. I estimate I've written hundreds of poems in my life. I've also had my poetry published. Like I mentioned in the music section, poetry is very intertwined with my music and songwriting. After all, lyrical songs are really poems set to music.
My favorite poets are Arthur Rimbaud, Robert Frost, Randall Jarrell, Emily Dickinson, Jim Morrison, and Dante.
I enjoy attending poetry readings. Some nights I just listen to the prose of other poets; some nights I get up and read my poetry. I have never had my own poetry reading, but I think that's something I would enjoy. Another goal to shoot for.
I have written two novellas in my time - The Power of Three and The Hallucination Continuous....
In the upcoming year of 2007, I find my biggest focus in the world of poetry and prose is to finish The Book and try to get it published. The Book - long rumored to be nothing more that urban myth - is actually alive and well and living in Chester County, PA. The Book isn't the real title, but that's all ya get for now. I've been working on it for fifteen years so another year of suspense won't kill ya. What's it about? All I'll say is this: think Dante meets Led Zeppelin.
