Fine Arts

My skills, interests, and portfolio in the fine arts are quite eclectic. Over the years I have created oil paintings, cartoons, illustrations, sculpture, jewelry, woodwork, and various crafts. I have been fortunate to have made some extra income in the fine arts, usually creating the pieces I want to create. My ultimate goal as an artist is to be self-sufficient selling art created %100 percent on my own terms.

These are some of my favorite accomplishments:

  • Selling my original oil paintings in coffeeshops in Manayunk, Philadelphia, and to people who just ask "how much is it?" and buy it right off my wall!
  • Had dozens of illustrations published by Kappa Publishing in Fort Washington, PA
  • Created two murals for the Nackord Karate System in King of Prussia, PA
  • Commissioned to do a painting for Great Valley High School in Malvern, PA
  • Received an Honorable Mention award at the Chester County Art Association's Spring Juried Show in 1993
  • Was the cartoonist for my high school newspaper in Malvern, PA, and contributed cartoons to my college newspaper in Kutztown, PA
  • Designed and sold many styles of hand-crafted earrings and necklaces

Goals I'm shooting for:

  • Getting my political cartoons published in The New Yorker magazine
  • Having one (or more) of my oil paintings permanently housed in a major art museum
  • Publishing a book of my gag cartoons
  • Creating a piece of Art that critics acclaim as "absolutely modern"

Below is some of the fine art I have created over the years. Enjoy.
